Excellence Northwest is a local not-for-profit, volunteer-powered organization committed to strengthening individuals through innovative courses that support them in creating personal and professional success.  They contribute to the quality of life in Whatcom County by having graduates who attract and nurture healthy relationships, promote win-win interactions and become effective leaders. Their vision is an ever-increasing community of people who are creating lives that they love and modeling excellence in all they do.

Their core series of courses, Strategies for Excellence, consists of three different programs.  The first 30 hr program, Reset for Excellence:  Core Strategies for a Great Life, focuses on self-awareness and communication tools. 

COURSE DESCRIPTION AND LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

The public offering is generally two evenings and a weekend.  The time frame for customized programs is negotiable.  The course is based on the concepts of curiosity, honesty and full participation.  It is fast-paced, experiential and fun. 

The following are the learning objectives of Reset for Excellence:

Enhance emotional intelligence.  Participants will learn to manage and express feelings more effectively.

Understand the source of feelings

Learn how to choose a response when flooded by feelings

• Learn non-violent communication and empathic listening
• Learn the skill of Agreement Creation
• Apply win-win strategies to all situations
• Identify your communication style and how to work with other styles
• Explore and adjust your beliefs and assumptions.
• Understand the filter concept
• Identify your core beliefs and assumptions about yourself and others

Step into your personal power.

• Understand and practice strategy of accountability- ownership of all results in your life
• Explore concept of conscious and unconscious choice
• Explore power of keeping your word and completion

Become a deliberate creator.

• Understand and apply the Law of Attraction
• Learn how to be “unreasonable” with time, money, energy
• Explore your relationship to gratitude and abundance
