Gone Diving offers Discover Scuba every third Friday of the month at the YMCA. You must sign up at Gone Diving in order to participate. The class is limited to only 4 students. You may take this class as many times as you wish or until you are comfortable to move on to the next step. Which would be the Open Water Class.
All you need to bring is a swimsuit and a towel. We provide everything else. This is a basic introductory to scuba diving. You are not a certified diver after completing this class. You do learn skills that will help you in other classes that are offered.
The class consists of going over the basic rules of diving. Donning on the gear, breathing out of the regulators and swimming around for a little bit. It is designed to be a very easy class that will help you over come any fears that you may have with scuba diving.
You must be at least 10 years old in order to participate. If you are under 18 years old you will need a parents signature in order to participate in class.
