In order to consign, you must make an appointment. You can drop off your clothes at anytime between 11~4pm on the day of your appointment. Previously Owned Clothing & Accessories Consignment Agreement
We are happy you have chosen to consign with us! Consigning is a great opportunity for you to make a few dollars on items you do not use or wear, and would otherwise dispose of through charity or other means. All items left for consignment are subject to the owner’s final approval for sale. Consignment is not always for everyone, so please read through and make sure it works for you!
Acceptance Terms & Conditions
v Items are accepted Tuesday thru Saturday during business hours, we do not accept clothing on Monday’s. We take items and clothing by appointment only, so call ahead to make an appointment since we do book up quickly.
v Clothing left must be clean, pressed, in current style, & in great condition. Items that wrinkle easily please bring in on a hanger. Accessories and jewelry must be clean and well taken care of. Watches must have running battery when brought in.
v All items left for consignment and later found not to be acceptable will be held no longer than 10 days. Items not reclaimed within 10 days will be donated. It is your responsibility to check back for possible rejections.
Duration, Terms & Condition
v Previously owned clothing & accessories are consigned for a period of 90 days from the date they are brought in. Due to large volume of items and consigners, we are not able to pull your particular items after the 90 days. All items unsold at the end of the 3-month period will be donated to charity. We do not receive a tax deduction or benefit in any way. Unsold items are donated to WE CARE or the YWCA BACK to WORK BOUTIQUE. If you wish to come back for your items right before the 90 days are up, you are welcome to pull them from the floor yourself.
Fees
v Connections provides space in a secure, staffed shop with general advertising at our discretion.
We will pay you 40% of the amount for the items that sell. There is no monthly fee.
Pricing
v Staff will determine prices, including sales & markdowns.
Payment
v You may check your account for payments at any time. It is your responsibility to inquire about payments. Payments will be made by cash or check, or if it’s over $50, they will be ready after the tenth of the month on the pervious month’s sale. Payments must be picked up or used at Connections within 90 days of the period consigned. No notification will be given. (If you live out of Whatcom County, you can request a check to be sent to you) You may use your in~store credit and receive 10% off your purchase. (Fine jewelry and new art are not discounted) After 90 days, any unclaimed payments will become void.
Liability
v Connections is a fully staffed, secure building. We make every effort to take care of your items in a professional manner. We will not be responsible for loss due to theft, fire, water, or accidental damage. All items are left at the consigner’s risk. We reserve the right to make future changes to the policy as needed.
