Northwest Handspun Yarns is a Northwest Resource for the discerning Fiberartist.
Owner Nancy Bjerke's Great Grandfather was a ranch manager in Wyoming during the 1920's. The picture above shows he and his family bringing eight bands of sheep down from the Big Horn Mountains to the lowlands after the first autumn snow in 1922. Nancy's Grandfather, who was 10 years old at the time, said that there was always one sheep who hung around the camp where the men would feed her pancakes.
