Quality in a service or product is not what you put into it. It is what the client or customer gets out of it.

Welcome. We started this company to help support the people, places, and local businesses that make Whatcom County so special.

We believe positive connections between people build strong communities. Relationships with local businesses and community resources help define our everyday experiences in Whatcom County. Compared to large metropolitan areas, our community provides quality and personalized resources that make us unique. We have decided to help our own community develop the strong relationships we value.

Relationships Make a Difference:

1. We Witnessed

Our brainchild was born from seeing our grandmothers struggle to find people they could trust. Consistently solicited, they rarely received quality service and struggled to tap into the resources they valued in their communities. We wanted to help them and yet knew this phenomenon was not limited to seniors.

2. We Researched

It turns out it is a challenge for people of all ages to find community resources that help them make the educated decisions they want- whether it is to find good local businesses or the local resources they want to support. In fact, based on one Consumer Survey, more than 75 percent of consumers said they do not feel confident finding local home and auto repair, or professional service providers, who they know will charge a fair price, deliver a quality service or deliver services on time.¹ Days are busy and time is valuable. Everyone should be able to be informed of the choices in our community.

3.We Believed

In our hearts, we feel strongly that if our community pools its resources and we exert our voices, a standard can be set for how we do business, how we learn, how we play, how we share, and how we grow. We can create value for all members in Whatcom County. We decided to take the power of the worldwide web and help make "being local" in Whatcom County even better.

At the Eview, we feel it is important for local communities to benefit from the power of the Internet, and by bringing web presence to every local business and community resource, we hope to enable locals to utilize an incredibly potent, efficient and effective tool. By offering consumers and businesses a comprehensive local search engine, we offer a resource for the community to come together online.

Helping Communities Find What They Value

People face a daily challenge to find the retailers, restaurants, and service providers who deliver the value they want-whether that is professionalism, quality, timeliness or price. Yet it is true that many businesses embrace best business practices and value the consumer. Our goal with the Whatcom Eview is to link local consumers with local businesses and community resources so that they make easy and effective decisions in their daily lives. With more than 30 years of experience in business ourselves, we set out to develop a means to make this connection possible online.

Presenting a Local Search Engine

With The Eview, we are committed to offering a valuable resource that brings our local community together. On our site, you can search for local businesses and resources and use real word-of-mouth feedback from neighbors and friends to discover the people, things, and places you want to support.

  • Our site is free to everyone.
  • We offer free websites for anyone who wants to do business in our local community or has something to share with other community members.
  • Our main focus is to let feedback speak for itself.
  • Every business in our community is listed, rated and can offer links to more information about themselves.
  • Businesses and community resources are given free tools to make doing business easier for all parties involved
  • All information is designed to help community members make accurate decisions in their daily life.

Helping Our Local Community

This is not a short term project. Our plan is to bring EVERYTHING Whatcom onto our site. Our goal is to create value by offering a local web that is alive and continues to grow everyday. Our focus is to accent people…And we have established an online foundation for our community to capitalize on the power of the web.

We pledge to offer this resource and to grow it in a way that will bring value to every community member.

We Need Your Help

We realize we cannot do everything ourselves. Nor do we want to. We want this to be a community site. We will offer all the online support we can as a service to the community we live in and love.

Your role can be as much or as little as you want. We do need help and value even the smallest suggestions. If you want an ability to give to your community please come forward. Write an article, share your hobby, give us ideas, create a website, and/or rate a community service or resource. We have only just begun to tap into the possibilities.

We know that integrity and open communication are essential components of a sustainable business and strong community. We believe in leading by example. Please contact us with any questions or suggestions. We'd love to talk with you about our creation: a new way to celebrate the uniqueness of our local community!

Thank you for choosing to visit us online!
